Paul Kemp-Robertson Biography

Paul began his work with the corporate communications company Maritz after graduating with a master's degree from Goldsmiths' College in London, before helping to create shoots magazine in 1990. Paul returned to shooting and became editor in 1994 after a stint in commercial production. During his tenure, subscriptions tripled. He took over as Leo Burnett's international head of creative resources in Chicago from Donald Gunn in 1998. Paul was in charge of the agency's Great Commercials intranet site and its quarterly creative councils, known as the Global Product Committee, and reported to Michael Conrad. Paul departed Leo Burnett in 2004 to co-found Contagious, reuniting with Gee Thomson, the inventor of shots. Paul has contributed to publications such as Business 2.0, the Guardian, the Hollywood Reporter, and M&M Europe, in addition to co-editing D&AD's The Commercials Book. He is a member of the SuperBrands Council and has been on BBC Radio 4's The Today Programme and 5 Live's Wake Up To Money. He resides in St Albans, Hertfordshire, with his wife and three children.
