On May 1, 2014, Paul Gionfriddo was chosen as President and CEO of Mental Health America. Over the course of his thirty-year career, he has held a range of health and mental-health-related roles. HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius named him to the 12-member National Advisory Council of the SAMHSA Center for Mental Health Services for a four-year term in 2013.
Prior to joining MHA, he worked as a consultant, speaker, and writer, as well as the creator of Our Health Policy Matters, a prominent weekly health policy blog.
