He is the Chief Executive Officer at Allscripts Healthcare Solutions (Nasdaq: MDRX). From 1991 to 1998 he was the Chief Operating Officer of Cerner Corporation. During his tenure Cerner grew from $120 million to $1.5 billion in revenue. All but $50 million of this revenue growth was organic. Mr. Black was responsible for Cerners top line revenue growth and drove a ten year revenue CAGR of 20% which enabled a 10 year EPS CAGR of 25%. Mr. Black earned his B.S. from Iowa State University and his M.B.A. from the University of Iowa.
