He has been a war correspondent, Managing Director of Netscape Europe, Senior Adviser for the World Economic Forum (The Davos Annual Meeting), Deputy Managing Director of Hachette Filipacchi Media in France and Director at the World Association of Newspapers. He currently works as a consultant for the Media Development Loan Fund and teaches media management at Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, Beijing. He resides in Zürich.
