Patrick Rafter is an Australian tennis player who was once ranked No. 1 in the world. He was a two-time US Open men's singles winner and a two-time Wimbledon runner-up. In 2006, Rafter was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
Rafter began his professional career in 1991 and won his first career singles championship in Manchester in 1994, using a serve and volley style of play. Prior to 1997, he had only won one ATP singles championship.
