Patrick Collison is an Irish entrepreneur from County Limerick. He was the winner of the 41st Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition in 2005 at the age of sixteen. He was also the individual runner-up at the 40th Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition. In 2010 he co-founded Stripe with his brother John Collison.
The brothers are two of the most successful entrepreneurs to come out of Y Combinator's accelerator program. The natives of Limerick Ireland built their first startup Auctomatic at Y Combinator in 2007 selling it for millions. Now the YC alums have branched out on their own for their second company white-hot payments startup Stripe.
