Patricia Galloway has been a member of the National Science Board (NSB) since 2006 and is the chief executive officer of Pegasus Global Holdings Inc. an international management consulting firm providing services to the energy and infrastructure industries. She served as the first woman president of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) in 2004.

Galloway sees engineering education as the number one challenge facing engineers today as current education does not provide for the soft skills necessary to survive in the 21st century. Galloway holds a certificate of director education by the National Association of Corporate Directors and has served on a number of private and nonprofit boards.
