The 6'10" man Tom Chambers was an important part of the Phoenix Suns' championship squads in the late 1980s and early 1990s. 'Tommy Gun' would execute a pick-and-roll move with all-star point guard Kevin Johnson that would frequently account for a third of the team's points. Chambers spent five seasons with the Suns, scoring his most points in 1989-90. (27.2 a contest). Chambers began his NBA career with the San Diego Clippers in 1981-82 and played 14 complete seasons with them. From 1983-84 through 1988-89, he was a member of the Seattle SuperSonics and was selected MVP of the 1987 NBA All-Star Game, which was held in the Kingdome. After five seasons with the Suns, he played the final two seasons of his career with the Utah Jazz, his home state team. Chambers also appeared in 12 games for the Charlotte Hornets in 1996-97 and 10 minutes for the Philadelphia 76ers in 1997-98, scoring six points in each game.
