OneRepublic is a self-described genre-defying American band from Colorado Springs, Colorado. The band, which was founded in 2002 by Ryan Tedder and Zach Filkins, found popularity on MySpace and built a large fan base. In 2006, they signed with Mosley Music Group.
The RIAA certified OneRepublic's debut album "Dreaming Out Loud" as gold in the United States on November 20, 2007. Early in 2008, the album was released in Australia, New Zealand, and much of the rest of the world.
