Omi Vaidya is an american actor best known for his role of Chatur Ramalingam in the 2009 Bollywood film 3 Idiots. Omi received two Screen Awards for Best Comedian and Most Promising Newcomer as well as a IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year and a Lions Gold Award for Best Supporting Actor.
After gaining attention and recognition for his role in 3 Idiots Omi starred in Big in Bollywood in 2011 which was a documentary film about his journey from a struggling Hollywood actor to a successful Bollywood star. Before Omis breakout role he had taken on smaller roles in popular television shows including Arrested Development The Office and Bones.
