Nzinga Shaw is the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena's Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer. She is the first woman in the National Basketball Association to occupy this post. Shaw's responsibilities include creating and implementing diversity and inclusion best practices across the company. She's created a cross-departmental, strategic initiative to increase cultural knowledge and sensitivity.
Shaw is also a member of the Executive Committee, where he advises the leadership team on how to foster inclusion in all aspects of the company. Shaw is working on a plan to include diversity and inclusion in all of the organization's programming activities, governance, and day-to-day operations.
