At age 5, Illinois native Niykee Heaton wrote her first song and taught herself to play the guitar as age 9. She devoted her entire childhood and high school years to songwriting. Her songwriting skills gave her an outlet to escape her troubled life at home.
Niykee spent time outside of school writing and sharing original songs that exposed her powerful lyrics and soulful voice. The 19 year old gained massive recognition after WorldstarHipHop noticed her acoustic-guitar rendition of Chief Keef’s “Love Sosa” in December 2012.
