UKA Ventures' Managing Director of Curriculum and Instruction is Nikeya Bridges. She was formerly an Assistant Superintendent at Uncommon Schools. She was the Founding Principal of Leadership Prep Ocean Hill prior to this position. In 2008, she arrived at Uncommon Schools with a wide range of teaching expertise.
At the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she co-designed an introductory college-level writing curriculum and taught an introductory college composition program. She was also a Teach For America curriculum specialist, delivering 150 hours of curriculum sessions to Teach For America corps members. Ms. Bridges also worked at the Bronx Charter School for the Arts, where she taught 2nd and 4th grade.
