Niels is a strong supporter of a "new breed" of leadership and significant organizational transformation. He is the co-founder of Red42 and the BetaCodex Network, both of which are headquartered in Wiesbaden, Germany. Niels was a director with the famous Beyond Budgeting Round Table for five years prior to joining the BetaCodex Network.
In 2006, Niels received the Financial Times Germany Best Business Book award for his second book, Leading with Flexible Targets. This book, as well as his more recent works, such as Organize for Complexity and Complexitools, were praised by critics and readers alike and went on to become blockbusters.
