Nicollette Sheridan is an English actress best known for her roles as Paige Matheson on CBS's primetime serial opera Knots Landing (1986–93) and Edie Britt on ABC's dramedy series Desperate Housewives (2004–09). Her film credits include The Sure Thing (1985), Noises Off (1992), Spy Hard (1996), and Beverly Hills Ninja (1996). (1997).
Sheridan rose to prominence in primetime drama, making her debut in 1984's Paper Dolls and starring as Paige Matheson on the CBS soap Knots Landing. For her portrayal, she earned the Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Lead Actress: Prime Time in 1990, and for Outstanding Heroine: Prime Time the following year.
