Nick Pendar, a natural language processing expert, spends the majority of his time using machine learning and data mining techniques to categorize, extract, and organize information from a range of sources. Nick obtained his Ph.D.
from the University of Toronto in 2005 and began his academic career at Iowa State University the following year, where he did text classification research for educational and legal reasons. Nick previously worked at Uptake and H5 in engineering and R&D roles before joining Groupon.
