Nick Calio is the President and CEO of Airlines for America and was previously the Executive Vice President of Citigroup's Global Government Affairs. He was in charge of Citigroup's and its subsidiaries' government relations. He served as the Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs under President George H. W. Bush.
He collaborated with members of Congress to write and enact legislation in this capacity. Under George W. Bush, he held the same role. Calio co-founded O'Brien Calio, a lobbying business, in 1993. He was designated one of Washington's 10 most prominent lobbyists in 1998.
