Nicholas Turturro, Jr. is an American character actor who has appeared in films, television shows, and on stage. He is best known for his portrayal of James Martinez on NYPD Blue from 1993 until 2000. He was nominated for an Emmy for his role as Officer/Det./Sgt. James Martinez on the TV drama NYPD Blue, which he played for the first seven seasons. He also served as a guest ring announcer for Shawn Michaels vs. Diesel at Wrestlemania XI. He played Al Capone in The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles and played Brucie in The Longest Yard and Renaldo in I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, among other roles. Turturro began co-starring in the Crackle comedic web series Dusty Peacock in July 2009.
