Ngwarati Mashonga joined Riders as an apprentice technician when he was 16, before working his way up through the organisation and studying for and achieving a degree (BCom) in Business Management. He was programme director for Riders' largest programme in Zimbabwe where he saw the programme grow to manage over 600 vehicles. Here he led a project to document and enhance Riders operational procedures. In 2008 Ngwarati moved to the UK resource centre to oversee Riders' replication work. He is now responsible for all our programmes across Africa and is working with our replications team to establish programmes in new countries.
