Newsha is a Research Associate at MIT and Co-founder of Biobot Analytics. This company helps cities assess the opioid epidemic locally and evaluate the efficacy of programmatic response by measuring opioid concentrations in sewage.
Biobot is a spin-off of a research collaboration between the MIT Senseable City Lab & Alm Lab where Ghaeli and her team developed methods to extract population health indicators from wastewater. Currently Ghaeli is the curator of the WEF Global Shapers Boston Hub: a group of individuals under the age of 30 dedicated to promoting social change in their communities.
