Nancy Sinatra was born in the summer of 1940, while her father, Frank Sinatra, was performing with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra; as the daughter of show business royalty, Nancy grew up in the limelight, and in 1957, she made her first television appearance alongside her father.
Nancy didn't take long to develop her own aspirations as a performer, having studied music, dancing, and voice throughout her childhood, and in 1960 she made her professional debut on a television special hosted by her father and featuring guest star Elvis Presley, who was then fresh out of the Army.
