Nancy Andreasen is the Andrew H. Woods Chair of Psychiatry and director of the Iowa Neuroimaging Consortium at University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. A pioneer in the use of MRIs to identify brain mechanisms of mental illnesses Andreasen developed the first widely used scales for rating symptoms of schizophrenia.
