Dr. Attarha's research focuses on the cognitive and neurological changes that occur as people age. She is now working on a battery of computerized activities that might predict the onset of neurodegenerative disease years or decades before it is diagnosed.
Her objective is to utilize the battery to identify people who are at high risk of neurological deterioration and then employ an intense brain training intervention to help them regain function. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a Ph.D. in Cognitive Science.
