Monty Are I (previously Monty's Fan Club and Monty) is a Cranston, Rhode Island-based alternative rock band. Monty just won Takeover Records' Sign My Band contest on MySpace but was upstreamed to Island Records after signing to Stolen Transmission. In 2002, they won the WBRU Rock Hunt, and in 2003, they won the Ernie Ball-sponsored Battle of the Bands.
Monty has performed on several national tours, including five years with Vans Warped Tour and tours with Just Surrender, Amber Pacific, Anberlin, Power space, Rx Bandits, My Chemical Romance, Story of the Year, Sum41, Taking Back Sunday, Yellowcard, Hawthorne Heights, and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.
