Dr. Mona Hanna is a prominent Iraqi-American pediatrician, public health advocate, scientist, professor, and author. Daughter of Iraqi immigrants who fled repression, she was born in England and raised in Michigan. She earned her medical degree and Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan and Michigan State University. Dr. Hanna gained international recognition in 2015 for exposing the Flint water crisis.
