In 2011, Dr. Pazin joined the NHGRI's Extramural Research Program at the National Human Genome Research Institute.
Mike is a member of the NHGRI team in charge of the ENCODE project, which aims to create an Encyclopedia of DNA Elements from the human genome, and the modENCODE project, which aims to uncover functional elements in the genomes of insects and worms. He is in charge of a functional genomics grant portfolio.
