Since September 1985, Mike Lynch has been the primary sports anchor for WCVB-TV, Channel 5 in Boston. He may be seen on NewsCenter 5 at Six and NewsCenter 5 Tonight at 11 p.m. weeknights. Lynch became a full-time weekend sports anchor for Channel 5 in April 1983, after working part-time for the channel for a year.
He has been the host of the Boston College football coach's show Eagles Preview, which airs on Channel 5 every autumn since 1984. Lynch has also covered the Boston Celtics, New England Patriots, and college football teams as a play-by-play announcer.
