Michelle Hurd graduated from Boston University in 1988 and soon after performed for Great Britain's National Theatre. Her Broadway credits include Othello Hamlet and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. She won several awards including the Robbie Award and the California Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama.
She has also appeared in several movies including Random Hearts and Personals. After working in television roles including The Cosby Mysteries New York Undercover and The Practice she appeared on a 1997 episode of Law & Order.
