Mike Wirth is Chevron Corporation’s executive vice president for global downstream. He directs the company's worldwide manufacturing, marketing, lubricants, and supply and trading businesses. Previously, he served as president of global supply and trading operations. He began his career with Chevron as a design engineer.
After serving in a variety of engineering, construction, and operations positions, he was named general manager of US retail marketing, responsible for sales, brand management, advertising, pricing, credit card operations, e-business, real estate, and station construction. While based in Singapore, he was president of marketing for Caltex Corporation and president of marketing for ChevronTexaco's Asia/Middle East/Africa marketing business unit.
