Michael Mignano is an American entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and technology executive. He is a Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, focusing on AI, consumer tech, and media investments, with portfolio companies including xAI, Neuralink, Pika Labs, and Suno. Mignano co-founded Anchor, the world’s largest podcasting platform, in 2015 with Nir Zicherman, democratizing podcast creation.
Acquired by Spotify in 2019 for over $150 million, Anchor powers over 75% of podcasts today. At Spotify, Mignano served as Head of Talk, leading podcast, live, and video businesses. Previously, he was VP of Product at Aviary, growing it to 100 million users before its 2014 Adobe acquisition, and worked at Atlantic Records.
