Michael Keane is a Pacific Council on International Policy National Security Fellow and an assistant professor at the University of Southern California, where he teaches a popular strategy seminar. He has worked as a consultant for a variety of companies and government agencies, including Citibank and the World Bank. Michael Keane was named a David L.
Boren Fellow of the National Security Education Program of the United States Department of Defense in 1995 and spent a year in Vietnam researching guerrilla warfare. Following the conclusion of the war in Vietnam in 1989, Michael Keane was one of the first Americans to enter the country, accompanying Vietnamese soldiers into Cambodia to combat the Khmer Rouge.
