Following the end of his soccer career he went to college where his drama professor encouraged him to pursue a career in theater at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts New York. He is married to Susan Matus whom he met whilst studying in New York and they have a son. Michael attended two schools College of the Desert Palm Desert CA and Orange Coast College Costa Mesa CA. Irby has appeared in movies like Mourning Glory Flightplan Law Abiding Citizen and Fast Five. Irby has also acted in shows like 'The Unit CSI: Miami CSI: New York NCIS: Los Angeles Lie to Me Bones Person of Interest and Elementary. He's set to appear in the upcoming FOX series Almost Human an action-packed police drama set 35 years in the future centers around the unlikely partnership between a part-machine cop and a part-human robot.
