Gallis is a member of the International Radical Innovation Institute's Founding Board, which is dedicated to expediting the commercialization of radical technological discoveries and assisting society and governments in better preparing for their consequences. From 1974 until 1997, Mr. Gallis was a lecturer at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte's College of Architecture. In 1990, he was named the Institute of Urban Studies' inaugural Fellow. Gallis graduated from the University of California, Berkley with a bachelor's degree in architecture, and the University of Pennsylvania with two master's degrees in architecture and city planning.
