Michael Dorn is an actor and voice artist from the United States who is best known for his portrayal as Klingon Worf in the Star Trek franchise. Dorn has made more appearances as a regular cast member than any other actor in the Star Trek series, covering five films and 272 television episodes, from his first appearance in the Star Trek: The Next Generation premiere episode, Encounter at Farpoint, through his last in Star Trek: Nemesis. He also played Colonel Worf, Worf's namesake, in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. Dorn had supporting parts in a variety of indie feature films after his Star Trek career ended, including Shadow Hours (2000), Lessons for an Assassin (2001), and the Santa Clause trilogy, where he featured in a cameo appearance as 'The Sandman.' Dorn is also a skilled pilot who owns and pilots a Lockheed T-33 trainer plane, which he affectionately refers to as his "starship."
