Michael Chaves is known for his work within the horror genre. His work on short films have gotten him widespread recognition in the horror community. His short film The Maiden won the 'Best Super Short Horror Film' Award at Shriekfest in 2016. He also created and directed all of the episodes of Chase Champion an action comedy web miniseries.
His highly anticipated feature film debut The Curse of La Llorona is set to premiere at the SXSW film festival in 2019. The film is being produced by notable horror film director and producer James Wan. In addition to expanding into the realm of feature films Chaves is also pursuing work in the music industry.
