Michael Biehn regularly works in the science fiction genre and he frequently collaborates with filmmaker James Cameron. His first major role was in The Fan alongside Lauren Bacall but Biehn's breakthrough performance was as Kyle Reese in The Terminator alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger. This would be the beginning of Biehn's collaborative work with James Cameron. He later starred in Aliens and The Abyss among other Cameron directed projects. Biehn received a Best Actor Saturn Award nomination for Aliens and received The Life Career Award at the 2011 ceremony. In 2011 Biehn made his directorial debut with The Blood Bond. His follow up film The Victim was released that same year. Biehn has been producing films since 2013. He co-founded Blanc-Biehn Productions with his wife Jennifer Blanc-Biehn. The production company makes grindhouse-style movies and has an emphasis on working with female filmmakers.
