She has also had supporting roles as Suzanne in Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip Elizabeth in New Girl and as Denise Cloyd in The Walking Dead. Wever has also played supporting roles in such films as Michael Clayton Tiny Furniture and Birdman. In 2019 Wever portrayed a detective investigating a serial rapist in the Netflix true crime miniseries Unbelievable alongside actress Kaitlyn Dever. That same year she played Cassie in Noah Baumbach's film Marriage Story which starred Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver. Wever was born and raised in the Manhattan burough of New York City. She is the daughter of a single mother and was conceived via a sperm donor.
