Melody A. Swartz is a William B. Ogden Professor at the University of Chicago's Institute for Molecular Engineering, where she also has a dual-position at the Ben May Department for Cancer Research.
She began her independent career as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Northwestern University before moving to the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), where she rose through the ranks to Full Professor and eventually became Director of the Institute of Bioengineering.
