In the spring of 2016, Melody Mendez joined NBC 10 Boston and necn. After anchoring the morning program at WFLD in Chicago, she relocated to Boston. Over the last decade, her work as an award-winning anchor and reporter has brought her from Jackson, Tennessee, to Champaign, Illinois, to Seattle, Washington, to Denver, Colorado, and, most recently, Chicago.
She has reported on big events such as Hurricane Katrina and the Aurora, Colorado theatre tragedy. Melody is realizing a longstanding goal of returning to New England with this relocation. The daughter of an Air Force pilot is no stranger to travel (and Air Force Academy grad).
