Melody Lee Biography

Melody Lee is the director of Global Cadillac's Brand & Reputation Strategy. Lee's responsibilities include developing Cadillac's worldwide brand identity and implementing a clear and consistent approach across all of the company's channels, products, and markets. She manages events and sponsorships that have an influence on Cadillac's overall brand image, as well as market research, analytics, and communications. Lee was executive vice president of Hill+Knowlton Strategies, one of the world's premier public relations firms, prior to joining Cadillac. Lee led the worldwide chairman's office at H+K and offered strategic communications and public affairs advice to business clients. Her areas of expertise included client transactions, crisis and lawsuit management, and public affairs assistance. Lee has extensive expertise in high-stakes crisis and transaction scenarios for high-profile clients, including strategic and tactical campaign execution for American Airlines in Tokyo, Japan, as well as directing communications for many significant acquisitions while at H+K Strategies. She was also a part of the team that assisted the International Olympic Committee with international communications, media relations, and research in 2008, both in Beijing and Lausanne, Switzerland. Lee worked as a director at Public Strategies before joining Hill+Knowlton Strategies as executive vice president. Lee oversaw market research and logistical analysis for a big national advertising business before joining Public Strategies. She has also worked for the US Department of Justice's Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services and as a project manager for a promotional products company in Beijing, China. Lee is a Mandarin Chinese conversationalist. She graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in international affairs, and she also studied at the University of Texas at Austin's Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs.
