Melissa worked as the travel editor at Town & Country for almost a decade. She founded Town & Country Travel magazine in 2003, and the American Society of Magazine Editors nominated it for a National Magazine Award for General Excellence in 2006 while she was its editor (ASME).
Melissa spent a month in Australia when she was 10, went on her first safari in Africa when she was twelve, and spent a year of high school in France with a French family. She has visited over 100 countries and has favorite restaurants and stores in cities across six continents.
