So how can you make a small amount of water last for three years? This was the question given to Mehrdad Mahdjoubi at NASA's Johnson Space Center. It was his fifth year studying Industrial Design at Lund University and he had just been given an opportunity to collaborate with NASA before his Master's thesis.
After successfully completing the project Mehrdad went back to Sweden. And it wasn't before long that he started questioning why his designs for the space programme couldn't be applied on earth.
