Maureen Zappala is an award-winning keynote speaker, author, and presentation coach who specializes in helping high performers overcome impostor syndrome. A former NASA propulsion engineer with a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame, she was the first female and youngest manager of NASA’s Propulsion Systems Laboratory, conducting jet engine research for over 13 years.
Despite her achievements, Zappala battled self-doubt, inspiring her to found High Altitude Strategies to empower others to conquer impostor syndrome and boost confidence. She placed in the top 10 of 30,000 contestants in the Toastmasters World Championship of Public Speaking in 2009 and 2020.
