Maureen O'Brien is an English actress and novelist who was born in Liverpool on June 29, 1943. She is most known for playing Vicki in the BBC science fiction television series Doctor Who, but she has also starred in a number of other shows.
From January 2 to November 6, 1965, she starred alongside the first Doctor, William Hartnell, in 38 episodes of Doctor Who as Vicki. She returned to the character in one of Big Finish Productions Doctor Who audio dramas, more than 40 years later. In the second season of Casualty, she played unit general manager Elizabeth Straker (1987).
