Maureen Bunyan is an Aruban-American Washington, D.C. based TV journalist. Maureen was the lead co-anchor at WUSA for 22 years. She returned to TV in 1999 to co-anchor WJLA-TV, which helped the show rise in the market.
Her love from broadcast and media didn't stop there; Bunyan was a founder and board member of the IWMF (International Women's Media Foundation), founder of the National Association of Black Journalists, and president of Maureen Bunyan Communications, Inc. Bunyan was born in Aruba and was the oldest of 3 children.
