Maura Calsyn works at American Progress as an Associate Director of Health Policy. Prior to joining the Center, Maura worked as an attorney in the Office of General Counsel at the Department of Health and Human Services. During her time there, she worked as the Department's main attorney for various Medicare programs and provided advice on the Affordable Care Act's implementation. Maura worked as a health care attorney at two multinational legal companies before joining the Office of the General Counsel. Prior to completing law school, Maura worked as a health care legislative assistant for Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-CA), where she developed an interest in health policy and legislation. Maura is a Harvard Law School and Hamilton College graduate.
