Matt Scott led the team to an undefeated season and two national championships and was selected as the MVP of the 2003 national tournament. He began playing with the NWBA Division I Michigan Thunderbirds while still in high school and went on to play for the University of Wisonsin-Whatwater Warhawks' wheelchair basketball team.
Matt Scott has become a powerful presence on the U.S. Men's Wheelchair Basketball National Team since making the U.S. Paralympic Team in 2004 at the age of 18. In a short time he became a leader on the squad. He was on the gold medal-winning US team at the 2007 Parapan American Games in Brazil and in 2011 as well.
