Matthew Leinart played college football for the University of Southern California Trojans leading them to two national championships. In 2004 Leinart's junior year at USC he won the Heisman Trophy. Matthew Leinart also won the inaugural Manning Award for college quarterbacks in the same season.
Leinart was named the Rose Bowl MVP after he went 23-of-34 for 327 yards throwing three touchdowns and catching a touchdown of his own. The Trojans claimed the AP national championship. Leinart was considered one of the top NFL prospects of the 2006 draft class. He was picked 10th by the Arizona Cardinals.
