Matthew Healy is an English musician best known as the lead singer and guitarist for the rock band The 1975. Healy was born in London the son of actors Denise Welch and Tim Healy. He was raised in Newcastle and Northumberland before his parents moved to Manchester when Healy was 10 years old.
He left school at 16 and worked in call centres and cafs. In 2001 Healy met his would-be bandmates
