Haas F1 Team and Stewart-Haas Racing have hired veteran racing engineer Matt Borland as vice president of technology. Borland will act as a liaison between the two businesses, Haas F1 Team, and Stewart-Haas Racing, in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, respectively.
The Haas F1 Team will make its Formula One debut in 2016, marking the first time in 30 years that an American-led team has competed in the sport. Kevin Harvick, Danica Patrick, Tony Stewart, and Kurt Busch race for Stewart-Haas Racing, a four-car NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team.
